Featured image: Floyd Newsum, wife Janice, my wife Anne and I met during our Master of Fine Arts graduate studies at #TylerSchoolofArt in Philly in 1973. He received his bachelor’s degree from Memphis College of Art. Over the years we have shared news and progress in the birth of our children and other family events; we have both been married for over fifty years. Floyd passed away Wednesday, August 14th and his death has left a big hole in the hearts of many who loved and respected him as a spiritual human being and talented visual artist. His legacy is a person of great integrity, love for his family, and ethnic community whose creative passions insured thousands.
