Brandywine Workshop and Archives’ campus includes the historic landmark Firehouse Building, which houses the Printed Image Gallery presenting changing special exhibitions, our Paper and Media Archive, the Ruth Fine Library, and a gift shop with prints and other artistic items available for purchase. The adjacent Print Shop Building is home to the Glass Lobby Gallery, BWA’s Permanent Collection of prints, a viewing room, and Printmaking Studios. Also located on BWA’s campus is paperTHINKtank, a by-hand papermaking studio owned and operated by artist Nicole Donnelly.

Our Hours

BWA’s Printed Image Gallery* is open to visitors by appointment. Forty-eight hours notice is required for individual visitors and small groups; please provide one week’s notice for groups of four or more.

Appointments may be scheduled during BWA’s hours of operation: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, except national holidays.

*Access to other parts of the BWA campus—such as our Permanent Collection, Paper and Media Archive, and printmaking studios—is also by appointment. To best meet your needs by ensuring appropriate staffing, we ask for at least two weeks’ notice in scheduling visits to these facilities.

Parking

Our campus does not provide parking.

There is paid hourly street parking available near BWA; look for nearby kiosks
to pay for parking. When parking on the street, please take note of all applicable
signage. The Philadelphia Parking Authority is rigorous in enforcing parking
regulations.
